Peter about the single:
"I had 'Gimme Shelter' laying around for years, but more in an original version form, and it was kind of boring. I stared to count how long it would be before I could release anything new with Pain, since there’s other releases that I’m involved in that are first in line. To me, it feels like now is the perfect time to release this song – it is as important today as it was when it came out 53 years ago. Back then it was the Cold War, today it is the war on Covid. Enjoy."

It’s a calling that has made him one of Europe's most respected musicians and producers. For the recordings of "Gimme Shelter", he has been joined by his son Sebastian Tägtgren playing the drums on this song.
